Business Mentoring

Whitehorse City Council provides a range of free or low cost mentoring services for existing businesses or someone who is looking to start a business.

We offer Small Business Mentoring Clinics, Small Business Mentoring Vouchers and we host the Small Business Mentoring Bus.

Whether you are thinking of starting or currently running a business, mentoring can be a valuable tool to assist in setting a clear direction, discussing key ideas, and can help to achieve your goals.

Small Business Mentoring Clinics

Whitehorse City Council in conjunction with Small Business Mentoring Service (SBMS) and Atlas Business Consulting are offering Small Business Clinics to support businesses located within Whitehorse.

Small Business Clinics provide general business advice for planning, starting or wanting to grow your business. SBMS mentoring sessions can help in the management of your business and guide you in the steps you need to apply to overcome an issue or information gap.

Upcoming clinic dates:

  • Thursday 18 September with SBMS - book now
  • Thursday 14 October with Atlas Business Consulting - book now

Whitehorse Start-up Series

In July, we celebrated the final session of this practical three-part program with 10 local participants sharing their business pitches with passion and courage.

Over the past few months, these inspiring entrepreneurs explored branding, business planning, marketing and more, building the skills and confidence to bring their ideas to life.

A big congratulations to everyone who took part! Thanks to Alex Sy from Atlas Business Consulting Services, Jacinta Sims Endure Collective and everyone who joined us on this journey.

The Start-Up Series is just one of the ways Whitehorse City Council supports small businesses alongside initiatives like small business mentoring and the Think Local Buy Local campaign.
